These Terms apply when you access or use PetCareDB.com as part of FrontOfWeb Directories. In these Terms, Service means PetCareDB.com, the other websites presented as FrontOfWeb Directories, and the accounts, directory listings, claim tools, review tools, contribution features, support channels and related services connected with them.
By using the Service, creating an account, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines also apply. Additional terms shown when you buy a paid service form part of your agreement for that purchase.
About FrontOfWeb Directories
FrontOfWeb Directories is the shared name used for our directory brands, including PetCareDB.com. It is not a company or other separate legal entity. Contact us at [email protected] or through our contact form.
Who can use the Service
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. If you act for a business or another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so. Additional eligibility requirements apply to business claims, paid services and restricted features when they are presented to you.
Accounts
One account works across FrontOfWeb Directories. Keep your information accurate and your login secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Do not share access, impersonate another person, or create accounts to avoid restrictions.
Listings and directory information
The Service helps people discover and compare businesses. Listing information comes from businesses, users, public sources and third-party sources. We can combine, format, correct, remove or refresh that information from time to time.
Information can be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date, and we do not verify every item. Opening hours, prices, availability, qualifications, accessibility, safety information, ratings and other important details should be checked directly with the business before you rely on them. We do not endorse a business merely because it is listed, ranked, claimed or marked as verified.
We are not a party to transactions or interactions between visitors and businesses. A business is responsible for its own goods, services, statements and conduct.
Corrections, removals and claims
You can suggest a correction or ask us to review or remove listing information. We decide how to handle a request after considering the information available, the rights of affected people and applicable law.
When claiming is available, you can claim a listing only if you are authorised to represent that business. Verification checks reduce misuse but do not guarantee identity, authority, accuracy or continuing ownership. We can decline, reverse, suspend or re-check a claim where reasonably necessary. Claiming a listing does not give ownership of the underlying listing record or a right to control community content.
Your submissions
Reviews, photos, corrections, promotions, events, reports and other submissions must comply with these Terms and the Community Guidelines. You are responsible for your submission and confirm that it is lawful, accurate where it states facts, and that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it. Do not submit private information about another person unless you have a lawful reason and appropriate permission.
You keep any ownership rights you have in your submission. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, publish, display and distribute it across current and future parts of the Service and as reasonably needed to operate, secure and promote the Service. This licence allows us to use service providers for those purposes and to transfer the licence to a successor. It continues for as long as the submission remains available through the Service or in reasonably required records, including after account closure.
Submissions can be published before or after review. We can check, format, restrict, decline or remove them, but we are not required to monitor every submission. Moderation, verification or failure to remove content is not an endorsement and does not transfer the submitter's responsibility to us. Nothing in this section limits any responsibility the law says we cannot exclude.
Reviews, rankings and paid prominence
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Do not submit fake, paid or misleading reviews, conceal a relevant relationship, or manipulate ratings, votes, favourites, rankings or other trust signals. Ranking methods, time periods, eligibility and the activity used can vary across the Service and change as it develops.
If we offer advertising, sponsorship or paid prominence, it will be identified in a way intended to distinguish it from ordinary directory or ranking results. Payment does not permit misleading content or prevent us from enforcing these Terms.
Paid services, if offered
We can offer paid features or plans from time to time. The description and purchase information shown before you order will identify the price, currency, applicable taxes, included features, billing period and any important eligibility or usage limits. Do not buy a business plan unless you are authorised to act for the relevant business.
We will not make a recurring charge unless the checkout clearly states that the plan renews and you authorise it. For a recurring plan, the checkout or linked purchase terms will explain when billing starts, how often it renews, how to cancel, when cancellation takes effect, and any refund or trial terms. A payment provider or merchant of record can sell or process the transaction under its own terms and privacy notice.
Failed or reversed payment can delay or suspend paid features. We can change prices or plan features for future periods, with notice where required. Refunds, credits and the effect of cancellation or downgrade are governed by the purchase information and any rights that cannot be excluded by law.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
- interfere with security, operation or access controls, or introduce malicious code;
- access another person's account or misuse a claim or verification process;
- send spam, harvest personal information, or use contact details for unlawful marketing;
- scrape, copy or bulk access the Service without written permission, except for ordinary indexing by public search engines that follow our published technical rules; or
- use our content, branding or data in a way that infringes rights or falsely suggests our endorsement.
Our content and intellectual property
Except for user submissions and third-party material, the Service, branding, software, layout and original content are owned by or licensed to us. These Terms give you a limited right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer intellectual-property rights to you. Availability and changes
Features, eligibility, limits and content can differ across the Service. We can change, suspend or discontinue features from time to time and do not promise uninterrupted, secure or error-free access. If a change materially affects a paid service during a prepaid period, we will provide any notice or remedy required by law or the applicable purchase terms.
Suspension and account closure
You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account. We can restrict or end access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, legal compliance, protection of others, prolonged inactivity, or a breach of these Terms. Sections that are intended to continue, including licences, intellectual property, liability and dispute terms, survive account closure.
Disclaimers and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that, the Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise that listing information, user content, third-party information or results will be complete, accurate, current or fit for your particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data, or for loss caused by your reliance on directory information, user content, third-party services, or dealings with a business. To the same extent, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of 100 in the billing currency and the amount you paid us for the relevant service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
If you acquire a paid service in trade for business purposes and both you and we are in trade, consumer guarantees or similar consumer protections are excluded to the extent that contracting out is legally permitted and fair and reasonable. Mandatory consumer, privacy and other rights continue to apply where they cannot be excluded.
Disputes
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute quickly and informally. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights or rules that apply because of the circumstances of the dispute.
Changes to these Terms
We can update these Terms as the Service, our business or legal requirements change. The current version and its date will be posted here. We will give additional notice or ask you to accept the updated Terms where a change is material or the law requires it. Changes do not retrospectively alter a completed purchase unless the applicable purchase terms or law allow that.
