Legal and Content Complaints

We want genuine concerns resolved quickly. Use this process to report content or listing information that you believe is inaccurate, unlawful, harmful, infringes your rights, impersonates you or your business, reveals private information, or creates another serious concern. Ordinary listing corrections can also be submitted through the correction tools available on a listing.

How to make a complaint

Email [email protected] or use our contact form. Please include:

  • your name and a reliable way to contact you;
  • the exact page address and enough detail to identify the material;
  • what right, law or guideline you believe is affected and why;
  • the outcome you are asking for;
  • relevant evidence, including proof that you own or represent an affected right or business; and
  • whether we can give your name and complaint to the person who submitted the material.

For copyright or trade mark complaints, identify the protected work or mark, explain your authority to act, and explain why the use is not authorised. Knowingly making a false or misleading complaint can cause harm to others, so please act honestly.

What happens next

We can ask for more information or identity evidence. Depending on the circumstances, we can correct or remove listing details, leave material in place, add context, restrict access, remove material temporarily or permanently, contact the submitter, invite a response, preserve relevant records, or refer the matter to an appropriate authority. We can take urgent interim action without deciding the final merits of a dispute.

We do not promise a particular outcome or response time. We aim to handle straightforward listing correction or removal requests within 7 working days. Complex ownership, reputation, defamation and identity disputes sometimes need to be resolved by the parties, a regulator or a court. We can decline requests that are incomplete, abusive, repetitive or outside our reasonable control.

Reviews and other submissions are user content, not statements by FrontOfWeb Directories. Taking action on content does not mean we accept liability or agree that the content was unlawful. Declining to take action does not mean we endorse the content.

Formal legal complaints

If you send a formal legal complaint, identify the exact page, content and statements complained about, explain why they are false, unlawful or infringing, describe the harm or rights affected, state the action requested, provide evidence, and give reliable contact details for a response. Broad or unclear threats slow the process and make it harder to assess the issue.

Harmful or illegal communications

If your complaint concerns a harmful digital communication, say so clearly and include the information above. We will consider any process and action required by applicable law. This page does not represent that we have accepted liability for user content or that every complaint qualifies for a particular statutory process.

Immediate danger

Do not rely on this process for an emergency. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or another appropriate safety authority. If your concern involves immediate online harm, you can also seek help from an appropriate online-safety service, platform, regulator or law-enforcement agency.

Privacy

We handle complaint information under our Privacy Policy. We can share it where reasonably needed to assess the complaint, give another person a fair opportunity to respond, protect rights or safety, or comply with law.
